After completing his undergraduate education in Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Sociology in 2000, Oltan Evcimen started his master's degree in Political Science and Public Administration at the same university, Freedom and Solidarity Party and its Policies: Trying to Redefine the Turkish Left (2004) He completed his thesis. Then, in 2004, he started his doctorate education at the Department of Sociology at the Middle East Technical University, and received his doctorate with his doctoral thesis on the Transformation of National Developmentism into Global Developmentism: The Case of Turkey (2011). Evcimen, who started his career as an administrative staff at the Turkish Railway Workers' Union, started as a research assistant at Ankara University in 2005. At the same time, Evcimen worked as a lecturer at Middle East University (2001), and in 2010, he worked as a lecturer at Erciyes University. Instructor He still continues his duty as a member.
